music video - behind the scenes

so at the end of august, we shot our first music video with some good friends of ours who own a company called "realistic films" for our song titled "don't blink."

day 1 was shot all through one of our original hometowns wilmington at a movie theatre called "the mar theatre" that we all went to growing up. day 2 was shot all throughout various locations in chicago.

we had a huge crew with us the entire weekend helping us out and they were all a blast to work with... so special thanks to pat christl, wojtek kielar, rebecca hurst, kaylee magro, hanna ashbaugh, dave pawela and everyone else who was there. you know who you are.

fortunately, we had the privalage of using one of, if not the best cameras out there called "the red" camera. huge thanks to lawrence daufenbach for being there and helping out.

we couldn't have asked for a more fun weekend. we got to pretend like we were playing the same song about 40 times in a row for hours on end. ...yeah. if we didn't know what it sounded like before, we definitely do now. so far we've seen a rough cut and are patiently awaiting the final version. we're all super excited to see the final version so we can show you. view it with your eyes. ...not your nose.

...without giving away too much about what happens in the video, here are some photos from the weekend that show a lot of the people involved:

in other news, we're doing a new photo shoot soon... so be on the lookout for new promo photos. ...our second metro show was a great time, so thank you to everyone who came and listened. ...and we have some new songs in the making. take sand, collaborate winter, face the future, sell carrots, and say... "hey? is that triumph and parade's new stuff?"

see ya soon.

Welcome Brent Collins, our new bass player

So we are very happy to announce that Brent Collins is now the bass player for Triumph and Parade. Brent has been practicing with us for a while and played his first show with us a few weeks ago.

We have been friends with Brent for about 5 or 6 years. He used to be the lead singer/ guitarist for a band called "To Say the Least". We used to play shows and hangout with them all the time back in the day in Kankakee/Wilmington/My old basement/ Many random places
(this was before myspace, twitter, and facebook were invented, when bands could play shows and write music without worrying about how many plays/comments/views they got a day).

With Brent in the band, we all look forward to playing many more shows for a long time.
Also we are doing new promo pictures soon, so you can see us... standing triumphantly together.

peace

Mobfest Show / Practice Space (with pictures)

Hey, folks,

This saturday we are playing a Mobfest show at Fiesta Cantina. We are stoked to be sharing the stage with the Ability and Made Avail... shows with good friends tend to turn out fun as puest. Remember it's 21 and over, so if you aren't over 21... you probably won't get in.

Info:
6/20/09 @ 9:00 P.M.
Fiesta Cantina
3407 N Clark St.
Chicago, IL 60657

Hey.. also .. on Sunday we moved into our practice space and played some music. Our friend Brent came by to practice with us. He is playing bass with us at our Mobfest show this Saturday.

It's a small spot.. but we enjoy it. Picture a musical sweatshop... but replace all the misery and pain with music and excitement and that's what it is.

We are definitely prepared for excessive perspiration, chronic fatigue, and loading up staircases in order to play music non-stop.

Here are some pictures from last sunday:

so that's that... until next time....

bye.

cd release show promo video

Hey everybody,

So this is our first post on our blogspot account. This is where we will be posting frequent updates about what is going on with us from now on. We will be including videos, pictures and blogs so make sure to check back often.

Tonight we posted our new layout for our myspace page and a brand new song from our new 8 song EP "Carve Your Own Path." The new 8 song EP is now available for purchase on itunes and smartpunk so make sure to check that shiz out.

Things going on with us lately:

1) We are doing an in-studio interview with Fearless Radio on Wednesday June 24th at 6pm. We will be talking about the new release. To listen: http://www.fearlessradio.com - click Listen Now

2) We have a show coming up on June 20th for Mobfest. The show will be 21+ (sorry to our young fans) and we will be playing with our close friends The Ability and Made Avail.

3) Starting June 1st we will have a new practice space in the Chicago where we will be allowed to play music 24 hours a day - 7 days a week. We are very excited to have that kind of access to a place to play music.

Also, check out the video below. Our good friend Katie, a student at DePaul University, taped it as a video promo for the CD Release show we had at Metro on May 10th.
